UWES is the largest student run organization for entrepreneurship at the University of Waterloo. We hope to help students realize their potential and drive to achieve greater things in life. Every term we hold numerous events to add value through to the students through networking sessions, speakers engagements, panel style discussions...etc. We have had speakers from various start-ups come in ranging from Ryan Blair (CEO of Visalus) to BufferBox, and even Vidyard to name a few.
The Society hopes to create a variety of events that will continue to promote entrepreneurial awareness in the leaders of tomorrow. The students at the University of Waterloo possess the innovative spirit and technical knowledge to create the leading companies of tomorrow; all they need is a path to begin to walk on.
