The best anti virus for Windows, comes from the same manufacturer of your operating system and expect the best of the compatibility and ease of you.

If you don't surf to the risky site, the MSE4.2 is just enough.

Do you want protection from viruses that is simple, not annoying, and will not slow down your computer? Than MSE is for you. Personally, I use it on a broad range of computers and they all have remained virus free. I simply would not use anything else, and don't believe those silly tests because they are false.

Strong protection, auto-updates several times a day, auto-scans, simple, and free

A very light-weight anti-virus and takes up little space. However, it has problems with false positives .Overall it is a good antivirus software.

Well done! Free!!! Spare, simple user interface. Insulates user from confusing details, while making details available if desired.

I've installed this on different computers and sometimes it runs well and barely notice it and other times it seems to slow down everything. The main reason I don't like it is that it seems to only have 2 choices: delete and quarantine. I would like more than that ... at least "ignore". Too few choices for a person like me that still likes to be in control of his computer. Otherwise, the engine, database, footprint, and updates seem more than adequate especially for a free program. I would use it if it had the "ignore" choice.
