I had 34 viruses on my pc mostly Trojans and I was using the Free AVG latest version edition and it would not remove any viruses. I will be looking to a new virus protection that offers real-time protection because AVG does not. I did find that Comodo offers real time and a firewall.

I used AVG for a long time because it used to be the best free AV on offer. Times change. There are better products available now. Avast is far superior. My summary: AVG - ill-informed choice. Kaspersky - Great, but not free. Avast - Top choice. Similar features to Kaspersky, but free. Avira - Popup nags in free version too annoying. Panda Cloud AV - my choice. Simple. Install and forget solution. Very light touch. Very good detection scores in independent tests.
