I strongly recomend using it with the "ileapord" theme, which is really gorgeous and fuctional. I LOVE thunderbird, its 100x better than outlook, I'll never be able to use outlook again now.

Fantastic email program, using it over 5+ years too. Many options and search capabilities. Dump the website emails with all the advertising and flashing junk that in no way enhances your email experience. Decide if you wish to keep your email on the servers or download to your PC. Awsome email client. In a world moving towards cloud based email like gmail and ymail its nice to have an open source email client that is fast, and highly customizable. Does everything you want and more. Add the calendar extensions and you have a full feature client.
