Before you’re heading out, you set a timer for approximately how long the activity should take, and when you’re done you simply indicate that you are OK. If you don’t, your pre-selected contact will immediately receive notification with the information they need to provide assistance.
The application also monitors the forces on the phone and send and alert once it detects forces that are strong enough like in a car accident. And it also has an easy to use SOS button for immediate call for help.
In the event of an emergency, the app will notify your emergency contacts and also provide them with your GPS coordinates from the moment you enabled the app. But don’t worry; if there’s no emergency, your whereabouts are never shared. In fact, Guard My Angel will not track you via GPS unless the app is enabled –which means you determine how long you want your ‘angel’ to guard you. Your privacy is always safe.

‘Guard My Angel’ is a free mobile Personal safety app.
The service watches over you without compromising your privacy, and identifies emergency situations by manual and automatic triggers.
Whether you are walking home alone, going out for sport activities, getting in a cab or driving home while tired, 'Guard My Angel' accompanies you and ONLY in the case of an emergency will notify your family and friends with the information they need to help you.
The notification can be sent over Text Message (SMS), Email or posted on Facebook wall and includes a link to a map with location information about your whereabouts from the time the service was activated.
Before the you go out, set a timer for approximately how long your activity should take. If you hit the SOS button or will not press the I’m OK button before the timer runs out, then your contacts will receive a notification automatically about a possible emergency.
If you indicate you are OK before that timer runs down, your contacts will not get any notification.
