Atrix 4Gmy phone takes excellent pics but this app does not use the camera very well. I can only get usable pics of personal checks (small) it should let you import pics taken using a camera app.

Excellent concept, very poor executionThe purpose of this app is excellent, take a pic of a check in order to deposit it, then no need to stop by a branch anymore. Unfortunately, the usefullness of this app is hindered by a major flaw: the postprocessing of your check picture. That makes the whole process much longer and frustrating that it needs to be. A contrast filter seems to be applied to turn your color pics into pure black and white (not grayscale). It is probably to keep only the relevant info, i.e. the text on the check. That's a processing I have found convenient a few times when processing some scans of hardly legible receipts. The problem here is that the contrast filter is too aggressive, it results in parts of the check that were perfectly lit and legible in the original picture to turn totally black. Then the app complains about the pic being wrong, and you're on your way for a frustrating experience, re-taking pretty much the same picture several times under slightly differerent angles, lighting etc ... hoping each time that this will be the winner! I still use it because it is still convenient overal, but it could be so much better with a little bit of fine tuning.
