Writer Description

Writer is a writing application without the fuss and distraction of a traditional word processor. It's perfect for everything from taking notes to writing a novel on your phone or tablet.

Writer's philosophy is Keep It Simple. Writer tries to be as basic as possible, giving you somewhere to turn your thoughts into text, markdown support, and some statistics. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Note: Files are currently stored stored in sdcard://Writer/. Future versions of Writer will allow you to select a custom directory, share documents through email, and synchronize your documents using Dropbox and Box.net

Ryan: Minimalist Writing EnvironmentBeen looking for a distraction-free writing environment for my tablet since last year. On my desktop, I use Q10 or WriteMonkey, and Writer is just as valuable an application, though it hasn't fully matured yet in a few small ways. I'd love to see a white-text-on-black-background option, but otherwise it's golden.

Miyaka: Undo...:'(Add an undo button somewhere please...! Just lost a life s worth of work... Other then that the app is awesome! Truly neat!

mh: Phenomenal.Clean, highly readable, and responsive. Extremely quick with external keyboards. Addition of (1) page break markup + a sideswipe reading mode, (2) PDF export with markup cleanup (e.g. retain styles while removing asterisks), and (3) cloud saving for cross-device / cross-platform support would make this an easy 5. May I suggest Evernote integration?
